There are some disadvantages of procrastinating your work until the deadline.
Firstly, if you procrastinate, you can’t produce a good outcome because you won’t have enough time to think of project ideas, revise, and consider your peers’ feedback. You will just rush your work and forget about checking spelling and grammar errors.
Secondly, you will be stressed out. You can’t take a time to really focus on your work because you don’t have much time left.
For example, last time our company introduced a new product but we were in a hurry. In the end there was a problem with our product so we had to do a product recall which caused a lot of financial cost for us. That’s it.
