Hello! I am looking for someone who wants to join our English study group. I’d say this study group will be the most amazing opportunity that you can give to yourself for your winter break. First, it will give you a strong motivation to wake up early because all members meet at 08:30 sharp. Second, our study group is exclusively open to those with high level of English proficiency, so all members can help one another very skillfully. Third, we can boost up our English skills in an all-inclusive way through various activities, such as article reading, theme discussion, and interview practice. Please check this out for your rewarding winter!

We meet at 동구청 Starbucks three times a week (Mon, Wed, Fri), at 08:30. (*if you are only available at Tue, Thu, and Sat, then let me know.) Each meeting consists of two parts: discussion and interview. The first part takes one and a half hours and the second part usually goes on for an hour. So, meetings end at around 11:00. I hope four or five members can make it in the end.

DISCUSSION: We take turns in choosing a news article about various topics from various sources. The one who is in charge also has to post two or three discussion topics onto the Kakaotalk chat room. Meanwhile, the others read the article at home and prepare what they would like to say based on the topics as well. Here, please note that each member should add one discussion topic after reading the article and also search for another related article to quote during the discussion.

INTERVIEW: Each member brings two pairs of questions and answers. Questions can be tailored to your own needs. For an hour, we do a mock-up interview to one member at a time. Then, we give informative feedback to each other.

Upper-intermediate level of speaking skill is required. (roughly, 25 in iBT speaking) Academic experience in an English-speaking country is preferred. You have to be on time of course, or you will be charged with 2,000 won for being late.
