1. Watch your mouth. = Watch your language. 2. We have a draw. = The game was on the line. = The game was tied. 3. Like bird draws to like. = Birds of a feather flock together. 4. Hold your jaw. = Hold your mouth. 5. I am on cloud nine. = I am very happy.
6. I'll take you going. = I'll drop you off. 7. That's no surprise me. = It didn't surprise me. = I expected that. 8. What was that for? = Why did you do that? (직설법) 9. I'll be there in 10 minutes. = Ten minutes walk will bring me there. 10. What do I call you? = May I have your name? = How do I address you?
* tear jerker : 눈물 없이 볼 수 없는 슬픈 영화, 연극, 소설, 노래 따위를 말합니다.
* back to school sale : 4, 8월 중순경 개학 준비를 하는 학생들을 위한 특별 sale입니다.
* blow out : ① (타이어가) 빵꾸나다. (=flat tire) ② (퓨즈가) 끊어지다.

조동사 핵심 정리1. 특징(1) 조동사 뒤에는 동사의 원형이 온다.
