ex) The company intends to open a local branch.

ex) The furniture arrives fully assembled.

ex) Watching a soccer game (get, gets) me excited.

ex) That John will leave (is, are) shocking.

4) each/every +

ex) Each house (has, have) two bedrooms.

ex) Every employee (pays, pay) income taxes.

ex) The students (expect, expects) the weather will be fine.

2) 주어 and 주어 : 100% 복수

ex) Jack and I (am, are) taking an accounting class.

3) several / many / a few +

ex) Several books (is, are) on the desk.

ex) Many workers (commute, commutes) to work by bus.

ex) A few machines (need, needs) maintenance.

ex) getting letters (from my friends) (make, makes) me happy.

ex) The paintings (at the museum) (attracts, attract) many tourists.

2) most / all / some / half / the rest + of + the 명사

ex) Most of the water (were, was) dried up in the lake.

* 즉, most / all / some / half / the rest + of + the명사 뒤를 보고 판단한다.

ex) Some of the hotels ~ + 복수동사

ex) Half of the information ~ + 단수동사 (불가산)

ex) All of the employees ~ + 복수동사

ex) The rest of the team ~ + 단수동사

<후기>

그리고 주의해야 할 주어와 동사의 수일치는 조심해야겠다. most/all/some/half/the rest + of the는 외워둬야겠다.
