1. 접속사의 역할 - 단어, 구, 절을 연결

1] 단어 + 단어

2] 구 + 구

growing vegetable and raising animals

3] 절+ 절

The power went out, so I left the office early.

-> 하지만 대부분의 접속사는 절과 절만 연결

2. 등위접속사 FANBOYS 3. 상관접속사

For /And Nor But Or Yet /So Both A and B 둘 다

[ANBOY] : 단어/구/절 모두 연결

For, So: 절과 절만 연결 Either A or B 둘 중 1개

기본적으로 A= B 짝을 이루어 사용

For 이유,

And 그리고

Nor ~도 아니다

But 그러나

Or 또는

Yet 그러나

So 결과

1. 단어, 구, 절 연결: ANBOY [for/so는 절과 절만 연결]

2. S+ V, ___ S+V: 문장 중간에 위치

3. S+ V ___ V -> ANBOY만/ [앞 문장과 동일한 주어 및 조동사 생략 가능]

Students need to be diligent and responsible.

John usually spends his free time reading or exercising.

We must clean the house, for my parents are visiting this evening.

-> 부정 어구 문두에 오면 도치

1. 부정 어구 + do/ does + S + 동사원형

2. 부정 어구 + be/ 조동사 + S
