4.비교급

비교대상이 2개 일 때⇒형용사/부사의 비교급+than을 쓴다.

5.최상급

비교대상이 3이상일 때

1)최상급과 함께 자주 보이는 표현→비교 대상 3개 이상

-of/among/in+장소/범위/분야

-have/has/had+p.p

-available/possible

The fastest car available.

2)’최상급+명사‘앞에는 주로 the or 소유격이 온다.

Summer Rain was the most interesting movie we saw during the film festival.

Mr. Sanders will sign a contract with his most important client today.

3)서수+최상급

The third biggest university in Korea.

4)부사 최상급 앞에는 ‘the’를 사용하지 않는다.

I repaired the car expensively.→I repaired the car most expensively.

5)최상급 수식 부사

-앞→by far[단연코], single[제일]

-뒤→ever[지금까지 중 최고]

6.원급, 비교급 형태로 최상급의 의미를 만드는 표현

1)비교급+than any other 다른~보다~한

2)have never/hardly/rarely been+비교급 더 ~해본 적 없다

*수업을 들은 소감*

비교구문은 쉬운 문법 중 하나라고 생각해서 소홀히 하기 쉬운데 막상 공부해보면 은근히 공부할 것이 많고 까다롭다. 원급, 비교급, 최상급을 나타내는 표현이 각각 있기 때문에 이들을 외워두면 시험에서 빠르게 답을 찾을 수 있을 것 같다. 그리고 원급, 비교급, 최상급을 수식하는 부사도 따로 있기 때문에 헷갈리지 않게 확실하게 외워야 한다. 스타트 리딩 강의에서도 비교구문에 대해서 배웠는데 그 때 배우지 않았던 내용들을 오늘 배울 수 있어서 좋았다. 특히 라틴어 파생어휘 형용사의 비교급은 ‘than’을 쓰지 않고 ‘to’를 쓴다는 것이 흥미로웠다. 그리고 부사의 최상급 앞에는 ‘the’를 사용하지 않는다는 것도 이번에 처음 알았는데 잘 기억해서 시험에서 실수하지 말아야 하겠다.
