 "A company spokesman said the component used to hold the blades in place was not properly aligned during assembly."

라고 나와있는데요. 여기서 "in place"가 무슨 뜻인가요??   전체적인 문장 해석도 좀 부탁드려요....

첫번재 지문의 둘째줄을 보면,

" This year's promises to be an extran-special affair, as we've been lucky enough to have the menu designed by Albertus Fabiola of the High Street Bistro and Grill." 

이라고 되어 있는데요. 도무지 주어, 동사 이런 걸 못 찾겠어요. 해석 좀 해주세요.... 어떻게 끊어 읽어야 하는지도요.

첫번째 지문에서 아래로부터 8줄 올라가면,

" Dialatron also declared they have secured Ms. Fiona Toledo, who left her position as main accountant to Handheld Electronics Inc., as their head figure cruncher and expect to see a rise in the profit margin."

이라고 되어 있는데요. 여기서 expect to 가 어떤 동사랑 대칭인 줄을 모르겠어요. 앞에 찾아봐도 다 과거형인 것 같고... 해석이랑 끊어 읽기 등등 부탁드려요.
