영어와 관련해서 가장 중요한 부분이다. 문장의 논리적인 순서뿐 아니라 한 문장이 들어갈 위치, 문장 정하기,

앞에 나올 내용, 뒤에 이어질 내용 등을 감 잡게 해주는 단서가 될 뿐 아니라, 문장의 전개 방식과도 있어, 

영어에 있어서 가장 중요한 부분이다. 무조건 암기하라, 최소한 굵은 글씨체의 것 만 이라도 ...

추가

게다가, 더구나, 또한, 그 밖에도.. 앞뒤의 내용은 같은 것으로 열거되거나 추가되는 경우에 쓰인다.

장점의 나열이나 단점의 나열 등에서 자주 보이는 연결어앞과 뒤의 내용이 비슷한 내용의 열거.

in addition, additionally, moreover, futhermore, besides, what is more,

into the bargain, another ting is, on top of that, all the more, still more,

 also, too, as well, just as, again

비교

비슷하게, 유사하게 --

similarly, likewise, in the same way, equally, in alike manner

대조

반면에, 대조적으로, 달리 -- 앞의 내용과 뒤의 내용은 반대되는 것이나 대조적인 것이다.

일반적의 ‘~의 양면성’을 나타내기 위한 경우의 서술 방식에 자주 사용된다.

conversely, unlikely, instead, whereas[where, while] +절

in[by] contrast, contrastingly, contrary to

역접

그러나, 그럼에도 불구하고 -- 앞과 뒤의 내용이 대립됨을 알려 줄 뿐 아니라, 필자가 강조코자 하는

부분이 뒤에 이어진다. 제목이나 요지는 뒤 부분에서 결정된다.

however, yet, but, nevertheless, despite, in spite of, although, nonetheless, notwithstanding,

결과

그래서, 따라서, 결과적으로 -- 앞이 이유가 되고 뒤가 결과가 되는 만큼, 뒷 부분이 중요하다.

이런 연결어 뒤에 나오는 부분이 제목이나 요지와 직접적인 관련이 있고, 한 문단의 내용 중에서

가장 중요한 부분이다. 논리적인 문장인 경우, 이 뒤에 나오는 것이 제목이거나 요지에 해당한다.

결론 

요약

간단히 말해, 요약하자면, 결국은 -- 주장하는 바가 단적으로 드러내는 중요 부분으로 뒤에서 요지나 제목이 결정된다. 이런 연결어들은 일반적으로 글의 마지막 부분인 결론 부분이 중요하다.

to summarize, essentially, ultimately, eventually

예시

가령, 예를 들면 -- 앞이 포괄적 언급이 되고 뒤는 구체적 예가 제시됨으로, 앞 부분이 필자의 단언이 되고 뒷 부분은 그 주장을 떠받칠 근거를 제시한다. 필자의 주장이나 위 연결어 없이

어떤 글( 일화, 사실)이 제시됐을 때, 앞의 단언을 유추해 내는 것이 중요하다.

반복, 환언

즉, 말하자면, 달리 말하자면 -- 같은 취지의 말을 단지 다른 방식으로 돌려서 표현한 것이다.

문제가 나온다면 거의 위의 내용에 한정될 것이다. 위 부분에서도 특히 굵은 글씨로 된 것들은 반드시 머리 속에

기억되어 있어야 할 것이다. 아래는 문장의 관계 파악을 위해서 참고 바람.
