A Wide Range of Learning

We are looking for members who want to improve English through a wide range of learning procedure.

This study is a kind of new one so that it is supposed to kick off with you.

The following are the details of the study.

1. Location : The study café around the Shin-Chon station (신촌역)

2. Time : Every Saturday morning 10:30 – 13:00

3. Cost : \20,000 per a month (4 times)

3. Materials : American dramas’ scripts (we will begin with ‘Friends’)

+ Free topics (two or three topics per a week)

4. Curriculum :

+ 1^st session (Practice English with American dramas) 10:30 – 11:30

Read a script together, line by line, and then give quizzes to other members about the words and useful expressions used in the episode + Review the episode covered the previous week

=> The expected effectiveness through 1^st session : Learn various expressions that we don’t know and apply them in our real lives through practice

+ 2^nd session (Reading & Discussion) 11:30 – 12:30

Read two or three articles together and talk about them  

=> The expected effectiveness through 2^nd session : Broaden our knowledge by reading as many articles as we can and practice expressing our own ideas or opinions on the issues in English 

+ 3^rd session (5 minutes speech) 12:30 – 13:00

Each member delivers a short speech in front of other members

=> The expected effectiveness through 3^rd session: Improve formal speech techniques through a repetitive drill

We talk only in English during the study session, even during a break time, so that a certain level of English is required. For that reason, there will be a short English interview on the phone to see if you are a beginner or not. Please understand this.

But do not need to feel burden too much. It would be enough to study together if you can express your own ideas on a certain issue in English. On top of that, it would be perfect if you want to broaden your knowledge and share opinions with other members by using English.
