[Curriculum]

1.    Discussion: We read the 2~3 latest articles from Bloomberg, BBC, The Wall Street Journal, The Economist, Korea Herald, Joongang Daily, etc. Thus, topics are also very diverse such as Politics, Economics, Health, Technology, Life Style, Business Tips.

2.    Presentation: 3-6min individual presentation during which you can have opportunities to practice making a speech in front of people as well as listen to other people’s presentation content and skills.

3.    Debate: We divide into teams of pros and cons to have debate upon various topics

*Recommended English skill requirement (Satisfy ONE of the following requirements)

1.    850+ in TOEIC

2.    105+ in TOEFL

3.    7.5+ in IELTS

4.   800+ in TEPS

5.    1+ year of abroad experience

*Native speakers or foreigners can also join since this study is not only to keep up our fluency but also to have profound knowledge and discussion.

*There are already a lot of very fluent knowledgeable members (employers in foreign companies & large global corporations, students from abroad, foreigners, etc). Thus, you will be able to socialize with a lot of sociable and great people in the study. We divide into small number of groups during our sessions, so you don’t worry about your chance to speak out. And, this study is not for profit and each will pay 5,000 won for using the rooms and place.

*Rather than having many inquiries, we just recommend you to come to the study and try it out. You don’t need to prepare anything when you come to the study; just yourself. And you can choose to join whichever session you prefer.

*Study Curriculum (For Saturday)

2:00 - 2:10 : Introduction and Ice-breaking time

2:10 - 3:00 : Discussion over topics within groups (Articles)

3:00 - 3:50 : Individual Short Presentations followed by brief feedbacks

4:00 - 4:50 : Debate on various topics (Philosophic, Economic, Int’l Policies)

4:50 - 5:55 : Wrapping up the study as well as New Comer’s Comments

(Flexible Break times btw sessions)

*Lastly, please note that there is a very strict rule: we talk only IN ENGLISH in our study, and even when we hang out together for second round.
