<Advanced English Debate/Discussion Study, Now Recruiting Members!>

Greetings!

Advanced English Debate/Discussion Study Group is now recruiting new members! The purpose of this study is to increase our opportunities of speaking English, and to discuss/debate on various topics in English. 

。Where 

We meet at a study cafe near Gangnam stn. (near exit 11)

。When 

We meet on weekday evenings (depending on members' schedule). (7-9pm)

Schedule will be fixed once all the members are recruited.

。Contents of Our Study 

1. Coursera/Edx lectures, TED talks

2. Debate - Controversial Topics (e.g. application of fat tax on fattening food products, English education in Korea and procreation and parenthood issue of intellectually challenged people.)

3. Discussion - News Articles

Each member will take turn to lead each week's session

。Fee 

The fee you have to pay is for the study room which is 4000 won per each week.

4000 won fee doesn't include food or drinks.

。Deposit

Besides the 4000 won you pay each week for the study room, you have to pay 12,000 won deposit when you first join us. We will give you a full-return on your last day that you wish to join our study if you have never been absent or late. We will give you a partial-return on your last day of what's left from 12,000 if you have been absent or late. Please refer to the following about our deposit policy.

* Deposit Policy

If a member is absent without 3-day notice, we will take part of his or her deposit to pay for his or her absence. Also, if a member is more than 15 minutes late to a meeting, we will take part of the member's deposit as a fine. However, if the member has never been absent or late he or she can ask for the full-return of his or her deposit on his or her last day. 

The fine for absence will be 4000won and the fine for lateness will be 1000won.

。Member Qualifications

Members should hardly have any difficulties discussing or debating any topics in English. Please note once again that this is an ADVANCED level study group. Therefore, you will be required to participate in a quick phone interview in English. It's going to be a short, casual interview so you have nothing to worry about :)
