지금부터 토익 스피킹 2016년 3월 13일 오전 10시 30분 시험에 대한 총평을 시작하겠습니다.

Question 1. 안내문

1.     Welcome~으로 시작되는 문장 – 정확하게 높게 올려 읽어주세요.

     e.g. Welcome to the annual conference!

2.     단어에 o 가 들어가는 경우 : [ɔ:] 발음 정확하게 해주세요

    e.g. call, conference, on, pots

3.    문장의 나열 A↗,B↗, and C↘ 은 꼭 지켜서 천천히 강조하며 읽어주세요.

Question 2. 안내문

1.     접두어가 들어가있는 단어의 경우 : 접두어를 제외하고 단어의 강세를 확인하세요!

    There will be reviews about remodeling of facilities.

    We had lots of complaints about inconvenience of tables and chairs

2.     장모음 정확하게 발음해주세요! [ee], [ea]

    e.g. Please, speak, speech, peach, leave.

3.     단어에서, 접속사는 꼭 앞에서 끊어주세요!

    e.g. Companies are always interested to hire employees who can speak multi languages.

4.     문장의 나열 A↗,B↗, and C↘ 은 꼭 지켜서 천천히 강조하며 읽어주세요.

5.     Part 1같은 경우는 많은 사람들에게 읽어준다고 생각하세요.

Part 2.

Question 3. 실내에서 찍힌 사진

- 중심대상이 3명 이상이고, 하고 있는 행동들이 모두 다르므로 생략해줄 것들은 생략해주세요!

- 주변 대상은 밖에서 볼 수 있는 사물들의 어휘를 많이 익히고 그 각각의 어휘들을 어떻게 표현할 것인가를 평소에 연습하시면 큰 도움이 됩니다.

- 묘사하기 어려운 사물들은 색깔, 모양이라도 설명해주세요.

- 시간 항상 체크하면서 일정 시간이 지나가면 주변묘사, 느낌, 날씨 등 준비된 템플릿을 말해주세요.

Model Answer:

This picture is taken at a grocery store. The first thing I notice is a woman with glasses is examine the products. Another woman behind her is also checking the quality of bananas. She is wearing a black shirt, and headphones around her neck. On the left, there are some daily products arranged on the rack. In the background, I can see numbers of frozen food in the freezers. Most of the products are organized very well, and it looks calm and peaceful

Question 4. 어디에? 얼마나 자주~?

The nearest store near my home is about 10 minutes away by bus.

 I go there once a year, since I usually buy books online.  

항상 의문사를 확실하게 파악하셔서 어떤 것을 물어보는지 정확하게 파악해주세요. 

e.g. 얼마나 자주 가나요? 

I don’t go there that often 자주 가지 않아요
I usually go there once a week / month / day 일주일에 한번 갑니다.

Question 5. 언제 마지막으로? 무엇을?

The last time I went to a store was last month. I wanted to buy books for my class, but I found out that the online store offers better prices, so I didn’t buy anything. 

Question 6. 갈 것인가요? 

Oh, I think I would not go to the store unless I can get discounted price. The bookstore near my house is not competitive to online stores. The only reason people visit there is because the bookstore sells some interesting books that people cannot find online. Unless there is a reason, I would not visit just because a new store opens near my home.

Question 7. 언제 / 어디서 하나요?

The first lecture is starting at 10 AM, and it is about new trends of cakes and desserts.

Question 8. 후에 무엇을 할까요? (없는 사항에 대한 질문)

Well, you don’t have to worry about the schedule after 5 PM. Because the schedule will finish at 4:30 PM that day.

Question 9. 공통사항을 말해주세요!

Let me see, according to the schedule, there are two lectures led by Kimberly Jonson. The first session is about making special desserts for your precious customers. It will start at 11:30 AM. Also, she will give another presentation about improving decoration skills for your cakes from 2:00-3:00 PM.    

시간 중간중간에 확인하시면서 꼭 추가문장으로 세부적인 시간과 발표자도 말씀해주세요!

Question 10. 부서에 따라 정하세요 / 설문조사를 실시합시다

(인사 및 문제 정리) Hello, Ann, this is Mike calling you about the issue. From what you mentioned from the message, I understand that we created a mentoring program for new employees, and you asked my advice how we can match the seniors to them. 

 (주 해결 방안 제시) Well, why don’t we match those employees according to the departments they are going to work? People usually feel comfortable with others they are working with. So if new employees are working with their mentors, it will be much easier for them to ask questions and get advice from the seniors. 

 (두 번째 해결 방안) Also, how about making a survey and test all the employees’ personality and find a best match based on their personality test results? If we set up two people who are alike to each other, they can communicate better and will understand each other much better.

단점을 말해주세요! (난이도 중상!)

Question 11. 세 가지 중, 친구에게서 가장 중요한 인성은 무엇인가요? 

저는 지적능력을 가장 중요한 사항으로 생각합니다.

이유 1: 다른 사항들은 똑똑하다면 모두 갖출 능력들입니다.

이유 2: 좀 더 높은 수준의 대화를 할 수 있으며, 조언을 들을 수도 있습니다. 

I think being intelligent is the most important factor I should consider when I look for a friend for several reasons.

(첫번째 이유)  First all, if a person is intelligent enough, the person should have other qualities as well. To be specific, one of my friends who is very intelligent, is also good at making people laugh. (두 번째 이유) Moreover, people are looking for friends to share their thoughts and ideas. I need to have a friend who can have conversations with me continuously, share opinions on certain facts, and even give me advice. I don’t need a genius person who can answer all of my questions, but someone who I can talk to casually and understand each other. For these reasons, I think being intelligent is the most important factor.
