Part 1. Read a text aloud

Q1. Advertisement – 난이도 하

1.     “z” 발음- cozy

2.    “-al” 발음- animal

3.    복수형 명사의 끝에 오는 “s”발음

4.    겹치는 자음은 한번만 발음하기 - summer

1.    품사에 따라 달라지는 강세 – increase  

2.    “l” 발음 – welcome

3.    “-ment”- apartment, document

4.     고유명사에 포함되는 “v” 발음- “-ville”, “-valley”

Part 2. Describe a picture

Q3. 사진을 묘사하는 문제 – 난이도 하

①      실외에서 찍힌 사진

②      소수의 사람이 등장하는 사진

③      사람의 동작 및 상태 묘사

④      설명 대상 간의 위치 관계를 통해 설명

1.    장소 - This picture was taken on the street.

2.    주인공 - The first thing I see is two people walking along the street. It seems that they are tourists. A woman on the left side is carrying a yellow bag on her shoulder and the other is holding and looking at a map.  

3.    주변 – On the left side of the picture, there is a man walking down the stairs. He is wearing a white shirt and pants, and he has white hair. On the right side of the picture, I can see a man sitting at a table. In the background of the picture, there are some trees with green leaves along the street and a building with some stores.  

4.    마무리 - Generally, it seems like a typical scene on the street.

The nearest university is only a few minutes from my home. It offers some evening courses so people can take classes after their work.

If I had a chance to study something new, I would like to study cooking. Actually, I like cooking Korean food and eating nice cuisine. If I could study cooking, I would get more professional skills and new recipes.

(상황 설명 및 문제점) According to your message, our designing software program will be expired soon and we should choose a new program for our designers and artists. So, we are thinking about how to choose a good software program which is good for all different work.    

(해결책) To solve the problem, I suggest that we should offer a seminar to our designers and artists for introducing various programs we can use. Then, our employees can have a chance to test all samples of programs. After the seminar, we can conduct a survey to figure out which one is the best program for their work.

Also, we can provide the manual about the programs to help them understand the functions of each program correctly.

1.    당황하지 않고 해결방안을 생각해 낼 수 있다.

2.    비상시에 효과적으로 대처할 수 있다.     

(서론) I believe that it is more important to have a business partner who has problem – solving skills.  

(본론) First of all, a business partner who has problem -solving skills can work more effectively. Also, the partner can figure out what we should do without confusion when we have problems. While people run a business, there might be problems that are different from theories. In this situation, the partner who has problem- solving skills can find out the solutions better. This partner can work more effectively than others and perform an important role especially in case of emergency. So, problem-solving skills are very important which can lead to the company’s success.

(결론) For these reasons, I think that it is more important to have a business partner who has problem – solving skills.
